Dear New Retirees-
Congratulations on a successful career at UC Davis. In your time at Davis, no matter the years of service, you’ve inevitably seen the campus grow and flourish with the support of your work and that of your colleagues. We’re so grateful for all you’ve contributed to make UC Davis the institution it is today.
Functions of the UC Davis Retiree Center
As you transition into this new stage of your life, we hope you’ll become acquainted with the programming and support we provide at the UC Davis Retiree Center. We typically host a full calendar of events and activities to keep you engaged with the happenings of the UC Davis campus, keep you informed of important campus news, advocate for your needs with the University of California Retirement Administration Service Center, and provide prompt support over the phone and via email when you need your questions answered. Finally, we also support our two wonderful associations that we hope you'll consider joining, the UC Davis Retirees' Association and the UC Davis Emeriti Association.
Along with many of our campus partners, COVID-19 has moved our work remotely for the time being, and we anticipate operating in a remote status for the rest of 2020. When we do get the green light to return to campus, we’ll once again welcome retirees and current university staff back into our office to get their questions answered and meet with us face to face. Until then, we’ll continue to strive to support you and meet your needs via phone and email. Thank you for bearing with us as we navigate the pandemic together.
In the meantime, you're encouraged to provide us with your updated email information and/or sign up for our biweekly email newsletter. In the newsletter, we highlight important announcements, upcoming events, and interesting information relevant to retirees.
Upcoming Events
We know these are peculiar times, but we also know your retirement is worth celebrating. In the coming months, we’re hosting a bevy of online programming, including two events we’d love to have all of our new retirees attend, the Retiree Resource Fair and the New Retirees’ Reception. You can read more about each event in the newsletter, or you can click on each event title in the sentence above and you’ll be linked to the event page. These events are the quintessential programs to transition you to retirement at UC Davis, and we hope to see you there.
