YoloCares is a nonprofit healthcare agency that has been serving our community with compassion for over 45 years. Our services include hospice, palliative care, companionship for seniors, caregiver support, and grief support. Our robust Citizens Who Care Volunteer Department is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and families navigating difficult circumstances through companionship, socialization, music/art, and so much more!
We welcome volunteers to YoloCares’ Senior Peer Companion (SPC) Program. SPC Volunteers meet with seniors in Yolo County who are isolated and coping with age related transitions to increase their socialization and provide companionship. We offer volunteer opportunities to provide support for hospice and palliative care patients in Yolo County and surrounding counties, as well as volunteer opportunities with our Adult Day Program and Center for Loss and Hope.
Please join YoloCares’ staff, Dee Rasilau, Volunteer Manager, and Tracy Keenan, LCSW, Senior Peer Companion Coordinator, to learn about our varied volunteer opportunities and how to join our wonderful team of dedicated volunteers.
