Endocrine Causes of Fatigue

Fatigue affects approximately two thirds of our population. Our job as endocrinologists is to determine if a hormone problem is causing the fatigue. In this talk, I will provide some general information about hormones and provide examples of the common questions I get from my patients. I will encourage the attendees to bring their own questions, and if applicable, their own blood test results to see how my presentation applies to their own cases.

Speaker Bio:

Sidika E. Karakas, MD, Emeritus Professor, served as the Chief of Division of Endocrinology at the UCDMC. She received awards for Clinical Excellence and Research Career Excellence. In addition to many peer-reviewed publications, she authored the books Endocrine Fatigue (2022), and PCOS: Getting the Right Medical Care (2019), for the public.
